Sculptures

Wow!!!!! Our class created their own marvelous sculptures using wood scraps and "Beautiful Stuff" that may have ended up in a landfill. Each student designed their sculptures using various sizes and shapes. Each child was engaged and did not want to stop working! Some kids want to keep them inside to play with and others want to put them outside.
 

Today we decided if we wanted to leave them natural or paint them. We used acrylic paint and chose one colour to paint our sculptures. Some children painted half of them and some painted the whole sculpture. We talked about being "the boss of the brush", not the other way around. It is important to only have paint on the bristles and not the metal.
