Butterfly Presentation

These are painted lady butterflies. We are hloding them and also talking to them. We learned how to talk to butterflies by putting 2 fingers like a peace sign. We move our fingers slowly like scissors and the butterflies will talk back!

The butterfly flew away from us and it was attracted to the light.

Holding the butterflies and talking to them.

A butterfly flew on to Sebastian's pant leg. It was a painted lady butterfly.

Here is the pupa stage.

This is caterpillar droppings called frass and food they eat.

Fabulous Friday!

Look at all our recycling in only 4 DAYS! We looked at pictures of landfill sites today. We were very proud that we are recycling more and sending less to the garbage dumps. We felt the garbage dumps didn't look very peaceful. we want to help our Earth by recycling.

Today we started to show our learning of the water-cycle using "Beautiful Stuff". Our teacher brought large foam circles that she got from ArtsJunktion. Everything she gets from there is free and may have ended up in a landfill. We thought we could use them for our water cycles. Check back tomorrow to see how they look!
Here are faces made at our "UNESCO Family Night" at our school. Everyone used "Beautiful Stuff" to create these original faces! It was a lot of fun to create!
